Temples and Related Services

Please see below for information relating to the Fukuoka, Sapporo, and Tokyo temples, as well as information about the distribution center, family search center, and Tokyo temple visitors’ center.

To add a name to the prayer roll, please use the Church’s online prayer roll system.

Tokyo Distribution Center

Location

The Tokyo distribution center is located on the B1 floor of the Tokyo Temple Annex building. Books, pictures, etc., and garments (including temple clothes) in most sizes and types are available for purchase. Advance reservations are no longer required.

Hours of Operation

Tuesday: 12:30-13:30
Wednesday through Friday: 11:00-13:30; 15:30-18:30
Saturday: 08:00-12:30; 14:00-16:00

Tokyo TEMPLE ANNEX ACCOMMODATIONS

The temple annex has accommodations for about 40 patrons. Reservations can be made two months in advance starting at 6am. The fees are free, and there are a total of six rooms:

1. A shared room with 10 spots for men
2. A shared room with 10 spots for women
3. A room for a couple and a baby
4. A room for a couple with facilities such as the shower and restroom are accessible by wheelchair
5. Two family rooms that can each hold up to 7

Tokyo South Stake Family Search Center

In addition to a family search center in each unit, we have a stake family search center on the B1 floor of the Tokyo Temple Annex building. The center has 5 PCs and a printer. Due to the size of the room, usage is limited to 5 to 6 people or a family unit at a time.

Please contact Brother Henderson, High Councilor assigned to temple & family history, to make a reservation. His contact information is available in LDS Tools or online at churchofjesuschrist.org.

When using the center, please follow the below guidelines:

  • No eating or drinking allowed

  • After using, clean up the center

  • Do not remove any PCs, printers, or other items from the center

  • When leaving, turn off the computers, printers, lights, etc.

  • Remove any personal belongings

Please note that members of the bishoprics, Relief Society presidencies, and Elders quorum presidencies of the Tokyo 1st Ward and Tokyo 2nd Ward have an access key to the center.

Tokyo Temple Visitors’ Center

Location

A self-guided exhibit is available on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Tokyo Temple Annex building.

Hours of Operation

09:00-21:00, every day.
