Devotional Broadcast with BYU President Reese on Sunday, May 12th at 7pm

All are invited to watch the upcoming devotional broadcast given by President C. Shane Reese, president of BYU, together with Sister Reese. The devotional will be given from the Ibaraki meetinghouse, and broadcast to Japan, Korea, and Mongolia.

BYU Noteworthy and Vocal Point will also be performing.

Elder Soares Devotional for South American Members Living in Japan on May 26 @ 12pm

Elder Ulisses Soares, one of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the first Latin American apostle, will visit Japan and hold a devotional for Latin American members living in Japan. This is a very special occasion, and we sincerely welcome everyone to join us.

Introducing Elder Ulisses Soares

Elder Soares served as a missionary in the Brazil Rio de Janeiro Mission.
He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting and economics and a master's degree in business administration from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo.
In addition to his native Portuguese, he speaks English, French, and Spanish.
He married Rosana Fernandez in 1982 in the São Paulo Brazil Temple. They have three children.
Elder Soares is the first Latin American apostle. In March 2018, he was called to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Tokyo Metropolitan Fuchu-Nishi High School Chorus Concert on March 22 @ 6:30pm

In May, BYU's Vocal Point and Note Worthy will be coming to Japan to perform and visit with several schools, including having a community exchange with the Tokyo Metropolitan Fuchu Nishi High School Chorus Club at that time.

In anticipation of that event, we have received an invitation from the Tokyo Metropolitan Fuchu-Nishi High School Chorus Club to attend their concert on March 22.
